Overview
RFP Analytics turn an award into a summary of what you won and where your margin is at risk. This enhancement removes manual post-award analysis and helps protect margin on awarded lanes before freight moves.
After a shipper returns an award, brokers often filter and export the award file to see what they won, then rebuild win/loss analysis in spreadsheets before the next bid. Lanes priced thin are often found only after freight starts moving. Whereas most RFP solutions focus on the pricing and bidding workflow, brokers need better out-of-the-box reporting on the award itself to inform the next step.
Analytics shows what you won in an RFP, how your pricing performed, and which awarded lanes need attention, as soon as you enter the award.
Reading RFP Analytics
RFP Analytics will appear when you have added an award for an RFP. At the top of the RFP detail page, click Analytics:
Metrics
Award Summary: The top row shows lanes won out of lanes bid, awarded volume compared to bid volume, projected revenue, and projected margin.
Award Charts: The charts show key award rates:
Available vs bid by round compares available and awarded lanes. You can toggle here between comparison by lane and comparison by volume.
Pricing strategy trends show the overall change in your margin and pricing from your Round 1 bid to the final award.
Bid to award volume compliance shows lanes where the awarded volume differed from the bid volume in the prior round.
Select any bar, segment, or row to open the Award grid filtered to those lanes. Clear the filter to show all lanes again.
Award rate by region shows your bids, awards, and margins by region, so you can see where you're strongest and where you have opportunity to grow.
Buying power improvement opportunities shows awarded lanes priced thin or negative against your Verified Buy Rate. This lets you review lanes where better carrier sourcing could improve margin. Select lanes here and choose Request capacity build to send them to Capacity Intelligence, so carrier capacity can be lined up before freight moves.
Notes
Results are a snapshot. Analytics reflects the award at the time it was analyzed. It doesn't update live as freight moves.
Regions use the U.S. Department of Energy's PADD regions (the same regions used for diesel fuel pricing): East Coast, Midwest, Gulf Coast, Rocky Mountain, and West Coast.
Projected revenue and margin are estimates based on awarded volume and your pricing. They are not guarantees of future results.
FAQ
Why don't I see the Analytics tab?
Analytics may be turned off for your account, or the RFP's award hasn't been entered yet. If you enter the award and still don't see it, contact your customer success manager.
Can I use Analytics on RFPs from before this release?
Yes, once the RFP's award is entered.
What happens after I request a capacity build?
The selected lanes go to Capacity Intelligence, where your team can work them for carrier capacity.
